let them do the balancing, but i like assembling it myself, that way, if something fails, i know it was my fault, and dont have to speculate as to the shop's procedures. i assembled my whole motor myself, and it runs very strong. as long as u make sure you double check every tolerance, i think it makes more sense to assemble the motor yourself. you know its the most important part, so you are gonna take your time to make sure everything is perfect in your own eyes. where as a shop may put together 5 or 10 motors a day, i took my time and assembled the whole bottom end myself. cliff notes: i dont trust anyone anymore.
